A 49-year-old male fell 8 feet from a ladder onto his right foot. He was brought to the Orthopaedic Trauma Service with complaints of right foot pain and radiographs revealed a right-sided, displaced and comminuted intra-articular calcaneus (heel bone) fracture.

A 47-year-old male fell from a ladder onto his left lower extremity. He was taken to a local hospital and radiographs revealed a left-sided, displaced, intra-articular calcaneous fracture with a depressed articular segment and he was referred to us one day following his injury for definitive treatment.
